WATSON, Charles Lewis (circa 1921 - 1995)

 McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native Charles Lewis Watson, 94, died Oct. 7 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.  A retired employee of the U. S. Rubber Company and a member of the First Church of God, he was the son of the late John and Julie Ann Burkett Watson and was proceeded in death by his wife, John Ann Watson in 1983; two brothers, Frank and Jess Watson; one half-brother, Ernest Underhill; and two daughters, Irene Wukowitz and Lois Ann Watson.  He is survived by three daughter, Virginia Ruth Jones, Thelma Robinson Jones and Mary Deberry, all of McMinnville; one half sister, Laura Miller Bain of Smithville; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.  Services were held Tuesday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Smith officiating.  Burial followed at Garden of Memory. McMinnville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
