January 26, 2004 ~ June 20, 2017 (age 13)

Evie Hoover 13, of the Pack Community in McLean County, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville.  Evelyn Reese Hoover was born January 26, 2004 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Christopher Shawn and Sabrina Renee Reynolds Hoover and was better known as “Evie” to both her family and friends.  Evie was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Calhoun and would have been an 8th grade student at McLean County Middle School, where she played girls basketball and was a member of the gifted and talented program.  She lettered this past season in varsity softball at McLean County High School and played travel fast-pitch softball.  Evie loved her dog, Lucy, enjoyed swimming, cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and was very proud of her Catholic Faith.  She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Gary N. Reynolds

Survivors include her parents, Shawn and Sabrina Hoover; a sister, Lauren Hoover of Pack; her grandparents, Renia Hoover of Calhoun, Robert and Linda Hoover of Owensboro, and Tonya Reynolds of Calhoun; her great grandparents, Johnnie Mae Howard of Calhoun, Joyce Hoover of Livermore, Charlotte Reynolds of Owensboro, and Jim and Glenda Tucker of Utica; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Calhoun with the Rev. John Ighacho officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Evie’s family from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday and from 8:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.  Prayer services for Evie will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Evie Hoover family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Evie Hoover, Memorial Fund; C/O Muster Funeral Homes; P.O. Box 160; Calhoun, Kentucky 42327.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
