Betty J. Carson Wade

Arkansas Democrat Gazette, August 30, 2016

Betty Jean Wade

Betty Jean Carson Wade of Sherwood passed away on August 28, 2016.  Betty was born on November 30, 1938 to Aubrey and Vera Carson of North Little Rock.  Betty graduated from North Little Rock High School.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, cousin and friend.  She loved her church and church family at Friendship Baptist Church in Sherwood.  When she no longer opened her eyes, she still sang the hymns she loved – every word that meant so much to her…"Amazing Grace how sweet the sound"…tears in our eyes, but a smile on her lips.

Blessed in her cherished friendships were her family, classmates and her cousins.  Her husband, Chuck, was her caregiver through her courageous fight with Parkinson's Disease.  We will try to focus on the good days she lived and loved, not the days when she was dying.

She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Donnie Dalton.  She is survived by her husband, Charles (Chuck) Wade of Sherwood; daughter, Beth Winebrenner of Cabot; son, Greg Dalton, of Mayflower; Daughter-in-law, Mrs. Donnie (Susan) Dalton of Springdale and her daughter, Terri Dalton of Austin, Texas.  Her precious grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden, Hayley, Hannah and Ryder Winebrenner of Cabot; Ben and Sarah Dalton of Mayflower; Aubrey, Alex and Amelia Dalton of Springdale; her sister, Sharon Kay Ledrick (Charles) formerly of North Little Rock and her aunt, her inspiration in her life, Alyce Polos, of Sherwood.

Visitation will be at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock on Tuesday, August 30th from 6-8 p.m.  Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church, 10150 Brockington Rd., Sherwood, Ark. (501)834-7593, Pastor Roy Thompson officiating.  The family wishes to thank Roy Thompson and Sue Whatley for all your love and help to Betty and the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church.  On line guest registry at www.griffinleggettresthills.com.
