Bruce E. Jones, 44 of El Dorado passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at his home.

He was born January 9, 1965 in Stuttgart, AR to Paul E. Jones and Janice Jackson Ray.  Bruce worked as an operator at Chemtura for 25 years, was a member of College Avenue Church of Christ and HRP Hunting Club.

Preceding him in death were his grandfather, R.L. Jackson and two stepsons, Adam and Chance Owens.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Perryman Jones; children, Alton and Mittie Owens, Wesley, Chad, & Jessica Jones all of El Dorado; mother and dad, Thorney & Janice Ray of El Dorado; two grandchildren, Keegan & Connor Jones of El Dorado; two brothers, David Jones and wife Lisa & Sidney Jones both of El Dorado; one step-brother, Joe Ray and wife Melissa of Arkadelphia; grandmother, Margarette Jackson of Humphrey and many friends.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2009 in Young’s Chapel with Bros. Dan Williams and Robbie Jackson (uncle) officiating.  Burial will follow at Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Philip Johnson, Floyd Coke, Brad Risinger, Mike Shocklee, Tommy Rider and Doug Pharr.
